Soon, verified content creators on Twitter will start getting paid for adverts in their replies, with the first payment block of around $5 million, the microblogging platform owner Elon Musk said on Friday.
"In a few days, X/Twitter will start paying creators for ads served in their replies. First block payment totals $5M. Note, the creator must be verified and only ads served to verified users count,"Musk said in a tweet.

Last year October, Billionaire and Tesla CEO Elon Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion. Ever since then, the platform has struggled to keep advertisers who have been wary of their adverts placements after the company laid off thousands of workers.
This new move comes as Twitter's new CEO, Linda Yaccarino, an advertising veteran from NBCUniversal, who is about to take charge of the social network.
In March this year, Musk said that Twitter was making about 5 or 6 cents per hour of attention from users, and could raise that figure to15 cents or more with ads that are more relevant and timely.
