Do you know that you can add iPhone's Dynamic Island to your Android smartphone? Yes, and it can be done within a few minutes without much stress!
This month, Apple introduced the iPhone 14 series with much fanfare. The smartphones come with new features such as car-crash detection, a photo processing method called Photonic Engine, and others. However, the Dynamic Island design is a standout feature that instantly grabs your attention when you pick up an iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max.
What does the iPhone's Dynamic Island do?
Dynamic Island replaces the notch used on previous models of the iPhone. Other than housing the TrueDepth camera unit for Face ID, selfies, and video calls, the small pill-shaped screen cutout also changes its size to accommodate various types of alerts and notifications. Though a bit strange looking, the feature looks very cool.
And it didn't take long for Android users to jump onboard. Realme is asking its users if they want the Dynamic Island feature on their Android phone, Infinix on the other hand has the feature in the form of Magic Ring. However, there is a way to get this new feature on your Android phone without your device manufacturer implementing it.

- Open the Google Play Store and search for "dynamicSpot"
- Install and then open
- Now click on "Select apps" to choose the apps that you want to use Dynamic Island
- Next, click on "Notification access" and then scroll down until you see the "dynamicSpot" app. Now grant the app "Notification Access" permission.
- Click on "Draw on screen" and then grant dynamicsSpot full accessibility access.
- Click on "DONE" and you are ready to use the app.
After this setup, dynamicSpot will surround your front camera by default. However, you can alter the position of the floating bar to the area of your choice.
While this app emulates iPhone's Dynamic Island, don't expect the animations to be as smooth as that of Apple. There's also a pro option for $4.99, offering exclusive features and functionalities such as the ability to see the dynamicSpot on the lock screen.
Since we are talking about Android here, some users might find this okay working properly for them while others won't. For those, there is another alternative by GriceMobile on the Play Store.
