First of all, this trick works in a different way and it isn't like the last Ha Tunnel free Internet settings that I posted. What they have in common is that users don't get to go looking for a working free Internet host themselves. We've provided everything.
Then again, you don't need to have data or airtime for the trick to work. You just need a VPN tunnel app that supports tunneling via the UDP protocol to enable the trick to work. There are many of these apps out there. A few include HTTP Injector, Finch VPN, TunnelCat VPN, and others.
