Infinix Hot 12i Launched With 5,000mAh Battery, 64BG Storage, And 13MP Triple Rear Camera

Infinix has launched the Hot 12 series today with the Hot 12i being the pioneer. The new Infinix phone comes in four colour options and features a 13-megapixel primary sensor, up to 4GB of RAM, 64Gb of internal storage and 5,000mAh battery which claims to have a standby time of 62 days on a single charge.

The Infinix Hot 12i sports a 6.6-inch IPS TFT display with a resolution of 720x1,612 pixels and 480 nits peak of brightness. The device runs on Android 11-based XOS 7.6 and is powered by Helio A22 chipset with a 2.0GHz quad-core CPU.

The storage is 64GB and there is a dedicated microSD slot to expand the storage to accommodate 512GB. The RAM goes up to 4GB and can be virtually extended up to 7GB using the additional inbuilt storage.

In the camera department, the Infinix Hot 12i smartphone sports a triple rear camera unit along with a dual flash. Though the company ddin't reveal much about the cameras, we know the main shooter is a 13MP sensor with an f1.8 aperture, and we can assume the other two are 2MP for portrait and macro shots.

For selfies, there is an 8MP front facing camera with a single front flash housed in the waterdrop notch.

Connectivity options in the phone include 4G, FM radio, Wi-Fi 802.11  a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, GPS, OTG, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and, well, a microUSB port,, given that this is a budget device. Sensors onboard include a light sensor, gyroscope, g-sensor, e-compass, and proximity sensor. There is a fingerprint sensor as well for authentication. 

The Hot 12i sports a 5,000mAh battery. Infinix claims the battery can deliver up to 34 hours of talk time and up to 62 days of standby time on a single charge. The battery can as well give up to 150 hours of music playback time and 13 hours of gaming. 

The device measures 164.80x76.40x8.75mm and weighs 190 grams.

For now, the Infinix Hot 12i is available in Nigeria in four colors: Black, Green, Gold, and Blue. The 2/64 GB variant goes for NGN 61,800 (about $150), while the 3/64 GB version goes for NGN 67,000 ($170)
