Samsung at its Galaxy Unpacked event has introduced the Galaxy Z Flip3, the company's latest addition to its Flip line of smartphones. So what does the South Korean electronics giant next-generation flip phone has in store?
The Galaxy Z Flip3 sports a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED main display that comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, and a 22.9 aspect ratio. The Infinity Flex display has proprietary bendable Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG).
On the outside, there is a 1.9-inch external/cover Super AMOLED display that shows contents such as notifications, messages, etc., without the user having to open the Z Flip3. This external display is an upgrade from the 1.1-inch in its predecessor.

Powering the Galaxy Z Flip3 is a Snapdragon 888 Octa-Core Mobile Platform processor, alongside 8GB of RAM, and internal storage of 128GB / 256GB.
In the camera department, the Galaxy Z Flip3 sports a dual rear camera setup that has a 12MP wide-angle (primary) sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a secondary 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera with f.2.2 aperture, which is the same as its predecessor, though the latest offering camera lens comes with Corning Gorilla Glass with DX protection. There's a 10MP front shooter camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
The device runs on Android 11 out of the box, sports a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, packs a 3300mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging support.
Samsung used an Armour Aluminium frame on the device, which the company boasts is the strongest aluminium frame yet. The device also comes with an IPX8 rating, making it the first foldable phone with a water resistance rating.
The Galaxy Z Flip3 comes with two special features called hands-free with Flex mode and new Flex Mode panel which makes apps look better and easier to use.
Now, when the user partially folds the device, the Flex Mode Panel will give the user new ways to interact with the Z Flip3, offering a more convenient viewing experience by moving the video to the top half of the screen and then showing controls like brightness and volume to the bottom half of the screen.
