Samsung isn't the Samsung we used to know some years back then. From being one of the worst smartphone maker when it comes to software update and security patches, Samsung has greatly improved in those departments over the last couple of years.
In fact, so serious is Samsung in improving its software reputation, that the company has for sometimes managed to beat Google, and that continues now as that the Galaxy Note 10, Z Fold 2, and Galaxy S21 have all received the April security patch, followed by the Galaxy A52, S20 FE, and the S10 line of smartphones.
SamMobile reports that the update to the S21 comes with tweaks to its portrait mode. The Portrait mode (formerly known as Live Focus) had restrictions in place that restricted it on flagships to use either the telephoto camera or the ultrawide camera. However, the new update will allow the Galaxy S21 series to use the regular camera to capture portraits.
The April security update has also been released for some other Galaxy devices. Find the list below.
