Yes, after the long wait, Electronics Arts has finally announced that it will be bringing the much-awaited battle royale game Apex Legends to mobile. In fact, the mobile version of Apex Legends will enter into a closed beta test sometime later this month on Android.
"Begining later this month, we're kicking off the first regional beta tests for Apex Legends mobile. This is a huge moment for our team. Two years ago we changed the landscape of the battle royale genre, and now we're aiming to do it again on mobile," EA announced on its website.
However, EA says it will be "keeping things small to start" and "just a few thousand players in India and the Philippines" will be able to take part in the beta testing, though it plans to roll out the game to more regions, players and as well implement iOS support as the year progresses.
Just like the PC and console versions of the game, EA says the mobile version will be free to play, featuring its own "Battle Passes, collectibles cosmetics, and unlockables unique from those found in the PC and console versions of Apex Legends."
However, since Apex Legends Mobile is being built specially for mobile, they won't be a cross-play with console or PC versions of Apex Legends.
