Can you put away your smartphone for a whole day without doomscrolling, gaming, streaming, and socialising for a $2,400 reward? Yes, I know you want in. I mean, who wouldn't want free two grand for staying-phoneless for just a day.
Reviews.org, a company that researches home products and services, is holding a 24-hour digit detox challenge that will fetch you $2,400 to stay a day "unplug from all your screens and smart tech for 24 hours".
"If you've got the desire to ditch your devices for a day but still need to get paid, this is the perfect opportunity for you," the company said on its website.

The company wants you to be accountable, give feed on your experience, and as well review your techless 24-hour survival kit. If eventually chosen, the company says you must be willing to disconnect from all personal life for 24 hours; that is inclusive of emergencies.
Other than that, you won't have access to any cell phone, Television, any form of gaming consoles or handheld gaming devices, computers or laptops, smartwatch or wearable tech, smart home devices (smart speakers, smart vacuums, etc), and of course, this whole thing doesn't stop you from using the microwave!
The challengers will receive safes to store their electronics in for the 24 hours period, alongside a $200 Amazon gift card to help you pass time, and a tech survival kit. This kit might carry, maybe, a keyboard to replace your laptop, paints and brushes for you to make a self-portrait rather than using your phone for selfies, board games to replace video games, and more.
"You'll have 14 days from accepting the challenge to pick a day that works for you, so you don't have to skip school or work," reviews.org said.
In terms of those who want to apply, review.org made it clear that this challenge is people who are phone-addicted and need a detox.
"After the challenge, you'll submit screen time reports to prove that you truly went a full 24 hours without your tech," the blog read.
