In July this year, India's Ministry of Information Technology placed a ban on 59 Chinese apps, and later banned an additional 118 apps in September, including PUBG Mobile, Rules of Survival and more.
The ban came following a series of border tensions, though the Indian government claimed the banned apps were engaged in activities that were prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of India, its defence, security and public order.
