Netflix has crossed 1 billion installations on the Google Play Store, all thanks to the global lockdown that came about due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The American media service provider and production company has joined the likes of YouTube, Gmail, Google Photos, Gboard, Google Search, Telegram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and a few others. However, not all the Netflix installations were gotten from the Google Play Store.
Similar to all the apps that have achieved this feat except for Telegram, they all do come pre-installed or bundles on different devices out of the box. And since Google treats every pre-installed app activated as a new download, and so does the figure.
