We've seen past failed products from Google such as Jaiku, Orkut and Google+. Now the Internet giant has announced a Pinterest-like social network called Keen.
Created by Google's Area 120, a workshop for experimental projects, and PAIR, a group at Google focused on People and AL Research, the app allow users to curate Keens to collect articles, photos, and other resources around topics that users are interested in, and also to share them with people.
"You make a 'Keen,' which can be about any topic, whether it's baking delicious bread at home, getting into birding or researching typography," Google said on its blog. "Keen lets you curate the content you love, share your collection with others and find new content based on what you have saved."
Users can also decide if they want their keen to be private or public. Also, Google uses machine learning and AL to find topics or items related to users interests, and users can in turn, decide to add them to their Keen if they find it interesting.
Are you keen on trying out Google latest social media app? Well, Keen is available for Android users on the Google Play Store and also on the web. For now, Google didn't make mention of iOS users but we are certain the app will make it to the platform since all its apps can be found on Apple Store.
