Telegram Crosses 500 Million Play Store Download

Cloud-based instant messaging app Telegram has crossed over 500 million installation on the Google Play Store. 

Unlike most apps on the Play Store that has achieved this milestone, thanks to their pre-installation on some Android device, Telegram doesn't come pre-installed on any Android device. Telegram do rely heavily on user downloads 

Telegram recently celebrated over 400 million active users on the platform which shows the app is growing in popularity. Even Telegram's experimental app Telegram X has received over 10 million downloads.
