Social giant Facebook has introduced a care reaction that give users an additional way to show their support to other users during the coronavirus pandemic. Facebook also introduced a Pulsating Heart reaction on the Messenger app which is already available for use.
Currently, there are six reactions on Facebook; Like, Like, Love, Sad, Haha, Angry and Wow. The new Care Reaction will be the seventh reaction on the social media platform and will sit in between the 'Love' and 'Haha' reactions for additional expression. The new Care Reaction is an animated 'face emoji hugging a heart'.
According to a Twitter post by Facebook's EMEA tech communication manager, Alexandru Voica, the two reactions will be rolled out globally next week, and will be used to react to posts, comments, images, videos, and other content on the Facebook app and as well the website.
For the Pulsating heart reaction on the Messenger app, any user that wants to use it will first need to post a heart reaction inside the chat, and then long press and hold it down to view the new one. In case you want to revert back to the old one, long press the new reaction once again.
