Co-founder of Alibaba Jack Ma joined the rest of the world in fighting the spread of coronavirus across the globe. Recently declared pandemic by W.H.O, COVID-19 is said to have claimed over 4,700 lives while over 128,000 people around the world remain infected.
The Chinese billionaire has pledged to donate two million protective masks across Europe, with the first package already arrived Belgium last Friday.

"Drawing from my own country's experience, speedy and accurate testing and adequate personal protective equipment for medical professionals are most effective in preventing the spread of the virus. We hope that our donation can help America fight against the pandemic!," Jack Ma said in a statement posted by the Jack Ma foundation on Twitter.
Ma said that for the weeks, the Jack Ma Foundation and Alibaba Foundation collaborated to source for materials needed in combating the spread of COVID-19 in affected areas in places like Japan, Korea, Iran, Italy and Spain.
"The pandemic we face today can longer be resolved by any individual country. Rather, we need to combat the virus by working hand-in-hand. At this moment, we can't beat this virus unless we eliminate boundaries to resources and share our know-how and hard-earned lessons," Ma added.
