Samsung has released a Portable Solid State Drive (SSD) that comes with a biometric security option for users to protect their files and private data stored on the drive.
The T7 Touch has a sleek and compact design based on USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard offering up to 1050 MB/s transfer speed, twice as fast as its predecessor, the T5, and up to 9.5 times faster than external HDDs.
The SSD has a solid metal aluminium casing, which Samsung says protects it against drops up to two meters (about 6 and half feet), and as well there's a Motion LED indicator which allows the user to determine the status of the device.
Now to the selling point of this drive. The T7 Touch comes with a built-in fingerprint sensor, password protection and AES 256-bit hardware encryption. Samsung says the user can register up to four different fingerprints, which makes it easy to share access with friends and family members.
The T7 Touch comes with a single USB-C port, which can be connected to wither a USB-C to USB-C or USB-C to USB-A cable. Find the complete specs below.
