Last month, Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi announced that it was going to launch a smartphone with a 64MP camera sensor. Seems the date for the launch of the device is very close.
According to a shared post by Redmi on Chinese social network site Weibo, the Redmi device will be launched on August 29. The post also revealed that the device will be called the Redmi Note Pro.
The image shared shows that the device will come with a quad rear camera setup aligned vertically with the fourth camera placed on the right beside the three. There won't be an in-display finger reader but a rear fingerprint reader.
Redmi also revealed that the Noted 8 will launch alongside the Noted 8 Pro, though we don't expect it to sport a 64MP camera sensor as it is with the senior sibling.
