Sometime this year, Facebook announced the dark mode feature for the Messenger app and users of the messaging service applauded Facebook for it. It now looks like Facebook is also working on bringing dark mode to the Facebook app on Android.
According to renowned reverse engineering app, Jane Machun Wong, the social media giant is working on bringing dark mode to the Facebook app for Android.
"The Dark Mode appears to be in an early stage of development, understandably. For now, only certain parts of the apps has been reworked to support the Dark Mode. For example, dark text dislaying on a dark background, vice versa," Wong said.
For now, there isn't a real time when the dark mode feature will be released. The feature might be released sooner than expected, or even take a longer period of time before it gets released to the public.
"With a mobile app of this scale, it could take time to refine the Dark Mode. Be patient! The rough edges will be eventually be refined," Wong added.
