Android security scanning app, Google Play Protect which keeps Android devices safe and secure by regularly scanning for malware on apps from the Google Play Store, before and after you download them, is said to now scan 50 billion Android applications everyday.
Introduced two years ago at I/O 2017, the app is automatically enabled on your droid device to scan for malware on apps installed from the Google Play Store or from a side loaded APK.
Google made the announcement as part of the focus on privacy and security during todays presentation at its I/O annual developers conference for the year 2019.
