Huawei has silently launched a new smartphone under its Y-series called the Y9 Prime 2019. The new smartphone share some specs as the pop-up camera and as well looks very similar to Huawei's recently launched P Smart Z phone
The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 sports a 6.59-inch full-HD+1080x2340 LCD display with 19:5:9 aspect ratio and is being powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 710F processor which Huawei promises speed enhancement and low power consumption. Huawei says the device will run smoothly even when the user is playing graphics-intensive games and live-streaming.
As usual, the device will run on Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.0, has 4,000mAh battery power, will come in 4GB of RAM and will be available in 64GB and 128GB storage option.
There's a triple rear camera setup which houses a 16MP primary sensor, an 8MP secondary sensor with ultra-wide-angle lens, and a third 2MP sensor.
The smartphone maker says the rear camera can recognise 22 categories and 500+ scenes in real time with its AI algorithm, and as well analyze and optimise the scenes intelligently so each shot will be more accurate and vivid.
At the front of the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is a 16MP selfie camera which is part of the pop-up selfie camera module.
"The 16 MP AI front camera offers real time image optimising in 8 scenes and will intelligently adjust the retouching intensity, Capture your stunning selfies with HUAWEI Y9 Prime 2019 from any angle," Huawei said.
Other information about the device are: a rear fingerprint sensor, GPS, USB Type-C, 4G LTE support, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support, 196.8 grams and 163.5x77.3x8.8mm dimensions.
The device will be released in three colour options: Midnight Black, Emerald Green, and Sapphire Blue. Pricing and availability details hasn't been revealed yet, though we are sure that the device will be rolled globally.
