Following multiple reports of failed display and other unpleasant issues, Samsung will delay the release of the Galaxy Fold device which was slated for April 27.
The South Korean giant will delay the release of the Galaxy Fold to at least May. This comes as review units of the Fold had a bad outing among top US tech journalists.
Those that experienced the Fold's device breaking display failures includes Steve Kovach of CNBC, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Dieter Bohn of the Verge and popular YouTuber Marques Brownlee
According to the Wall Street Journal, Samsung has postponed the Galaxy Ford's launch in China which was set for April 23rd and 24th with no news on when the event will hold.
The Samsung Galaxy Fold is the first mass-market foldable phone. It's understandable that first generation phones do come with little complications that has to be corrected as production progresses. However, Samsung's foldable device isn't what the consumers would swallow given the $2,000 hefty price tag. We hope this won't escalate like the Galaxy Note 7 debacle.
