After Xiaomi announced Redmi as an independent brand early this year, Redmi has been trying to live up to expectations by launching budget devices that are affordable.
Shortly after that, Redmi launched the Note 7. For a device that was priced at $150, the Redmi Note 7 came with a 48MP camera, 4,000mAh and other features. Next came the budget Redmi Go which was to be sold for $65.
Now the company has launched another device called the Redmi 7. The newly launched device sports a notched 6.26-inch HD+ Dot Drop display that is covered by a Gorilla Glass 5 and a P21 nanocoating that provides some protection against water splashes.
The display also comes with TUV Rheinland certification which should reduced eye fatigue when reading mode has been turned on.
Housed at the back of the device is a dual setup camera of two 12MP sensors while at the fron there's an 8MP selfie sensor that is housed within the notch.
Other specs includes a Snapdragon 635 SoC, a headphone jack and a hefty 4,000mAh battery capacity which Xiaomi promises to deliver u[p to 400 hours of standby time. There's an IR blaster for those who would want to use the their device to control other devices.
The phone will go on sale in China on March 26 and will be available in three gradient colours: Cornet Blue, Lunar Red and Eclipse Black.
The prices for the device varies according to their internal storage and RAM size.
