New LG G8 Will Produce Audio Sound Via Screen By Vibrating

South Korean electronics giant LG, will unveil at the Mobile World Congress 2019 a smartphone that feature a vibrating display that emits sound.

According to LG, the G8 ThinQ smartphone uses Crystal Sound OLED (CSO) and as well technology from Meridian Audio to deliver premium sound in any environment.

"At MWC 2019, LG Electronics (LG) will remind audience of its reputation and history as a leader in smartphone and sound with the new LG G8 ThinkQ featuring Crystal Sound OLED (CSO), an innovative technology that utilizes the phone's OLED display as an audio amplifier," LG electronics said.


The Crystal Sound OLED on the LG G8 ThinQ acts as a diaphragm which vibrates the entire surface to produce quality audio.

 LG explained that the Crystal Sound OLED technology doesn't just give out sound, it also improves clarity, makes voices easier to discern and as well subtle musical notes more noticeable because the Crystal Sound OLED technology takes advantage of the whole display.

At the bottom of the device, there's a speaker that delivers impressive bass and fine-tuned audio quality. Other audio features includes DTS:X 3D Surround Sound and Hi-Fi Quad DAC.

"Our commitment to driving smartphone audio to new heights is on clear display in LG G8 ThinQ," senior vice president and head of product strategy at LG, Chang Ma said. "By developing new technologies as well as working closely in partnership with the audio industry's best partners, LG will continue to deliver the quality of sound that consumers demand and deserve."
