WhatsApp has enabled a new beta feature called "Reply Privately", a feature that allows users to reply privately to someone in a group.
According to WaBetaInfo, this Reply Privately feature which is in the beta version of WhatsApp allows users to privately reply a message received in a group.
To make use of this feature, a user is to select the message that he or she wants to reply to and then tap on the three-dots on top of the chat and then choose "Reply Privately." The moment you tap Reply Privately, WhatsApp will automatically open the private chat with the contact.
The Reply Privately feature also allow users to reply old messages in a group where the Send messages feature has been set to only administrators.
Still, the it doens't matter whether the group has been closed, WhatsApp users will still be able to make use of the Reply Privately feature if the requirements have been met.
For now, this feature is available in the WhatsApp beta v2.18.335 for Android where it is undergoing tests. We don't know if it will be made available for iOS users, nor do we know when the feature will be made available for everyone.
