Facebook, Instagram, Yahoo and other heavy Internet giants have been experiencing a down time today.
Several media outlets began to report that several Facebook Messenger users in the US and Europe were complaining that the social messaging service wasn't working for them as users were left unable to send or receive messages, login and connect to the server.Though the service was later restored and the complaints dropped.
However, as Facebook's Messengers service was restored, Facebook itself alongside Instagram, Yahoo and other heavy Internet sites as at 2:33 PM Tuesday GMT, began to experience a heavy down time all round the world.
For Facebook, users of the social media platform across Europe, Asia, North and South America suffered the outage.
According to Downdetector, Countries that seem to suffer heavily from the outage includes Isreal, India, Malaysia, Japan, Brazil, Argentina and Venezuela. In the US, places like New York, Boston, Washington, Chicago etc seems to suffer more.
Yahoo too suffered a worldwide outage, with users in Washington, Boston, New York, Houston and most especially Japan suffering more from the outage.
Instagram also suffered the same fate as Facebook. The photo and video-sharing social networking service heavily was heavily affected worldwide. Areas that suffered the most from the outage includes Singapore, London, paris, Hamburg, Lisbon, Boston, New York, Toronto, Italy, Berlin, Moscow, Delhi, Japan, and Indonesia.
Other Internet services such as Last pass, WhatsApp, YouTube, SnapChat, TeamViewer, Verizon, Sprint, and others too experienced down time in service, but mild.
However, as at 3:15 PM GMT, Facebook, Instagram, Yahoo, and those other Internet services had been restored.
